We’ve all seen the huge range of products that have been made into USB devices. Whether it’s a real old twig that can store computer data, or possibly a broken piece of wire that won’t get stolen as much. There are thousands of strange USB sticks out there, and there is now a new addition to the list.

This latest addition to the wacky USB stick list is a pair of sunglasses, Calvin Klein sunglasses to be precise. You might be wondering how they managed to fit a USB stick into a pair of glasses and still make them look fashionable. Although it doesn’t make a great deal of sense why, it’s quite cool how they have managed it. They have added the USB storage into the end of the right arm of the glasses. All you have to do is pull the end of the arm off, plug it into your PC and then it can store a massive 4GB of data, not bad for a pair of sunglasses.

Although it does seem a little strange to include a USB stick into some glasses, it does give Kalvin Klein a unique selling point over a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. Although, when you think about it, say you are on a beach and using a laptop or netbook and you require some extra storage, simply dismantle your sunglasses and store away.

Of course the biggest and most obvious downside to these glasses is that once you start using the USB storage, you can’t wear them at the same time, unless you are able to use the one arm and balance them on your head. Also, I imagine that the connection to hold the arm together is strong otherwise as you remove the glasses, the arm could fall apart. Also, I’m not sure if the USB is waterproof because if you’re using them on the beach, you don’t want to loose all your data if you get splashed, you certainly wouldn’t have that problem with Police sunglasses.

I guess the glasses have their advantages and disadvantages, and if you really don’t want to carry around a seperate memory stick with you, this would be your best option. However, they will set you back a fair bit. $199 is how much they will cost, although that’s priced high, I imagine you are paying mainly for the sunglass part and not the 4GB storage.

With designer fashion and global warming all around us, having a good pair of sunglasses is a must have for both. A good pair of sunglasses will finish off your outfit and sometimes can disguise your eyes after a night on the town. As for the global warming side of matters, as the Earths temperature is getting hotter, your eyes are constantly in need of protection from damaging UV rays.

So now that you have some good excuses for buying some sunglasses, you now have to make the decision as to which pair to buy. Now that’s the most complicated part.

Just like when you have to choose normal eye glasses, the decision starts with the shape of your face. Generally, people sit in one of two face shapes, either round or oval. A round face is where the width and length of the face are very similar and generally, round faced people are aware that they have a round face. As for the other shape, oval, this is where the height of your face is longer than the width.

Once you have chosen which face shape you are, you can then make a decision as to which shape sunglasses you should get. If you think you have a rounded face then you would be best off with a rectangle or square frame. If you are a rounded faced person then you are limited by the range of designers as some don’t make square or rectangle sunglasses.

If you have an oval face, the entire range is open to you as anything will look good. You are not limited to just square ones, you would be able to get away with wearing big curved glasses, or even small square glasses because anything will suite your face shape.Police sunglasses or possibly a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, you should be able to pull it off.

There are a couple of other face shapes that you may fit into if you don’t see yourself as an oval or a circle. If you believe that you have a heart shaped face then you would be best suited to the thin rimmed aviation styled sunglasses. Finally, if you think you have more of a square face then you want to head for some glasses which are more curved as you already have plenty of angles on your face.

Hopefully you will use this information for the better when you go to buy your next pair of sunglasses. Just remember, despite paying alot of money for the sunglasses, it doesn’t mean that they give enough protection for your eyes. Make sure that the glasses come with a sticker on them stating how well they are protecting your eyes.

Choosing new glasses, whether they are prescription glasses or sunglasses, can change the way you look. Glasses arent just devices to improve your vision (although thats still their most important function), theyre a reflection of your character and personality. You want to know that your glasses look great on you as well as being comfortable and functional, and for this reason more and more people are choosing to go for designer frames.

There are literally hundreds of designer styles, shapes, materials, colours and sizes available nowadays. It can be a bit overwhleming deciding between so many different styles. With designer glasses, the image you want to project is probably the consideration. For work wear a more sensible and plain style may be more appropriate. If you want to make a statement and go for bright unrestrained glasses there are dozens of recognised designer brands out there, including Prada glasses for example that combine an intrinsic sense of style with the name recognition that is more of a fashion and lifestyle statement. Whichever way you lean, choose designer glasses to suit the shape of your face and not just your outfits or your desired social standing. The same is true when choosing designer sunglasses.

Oval shaped or rounded frames are best suited to a square face. If you have a broad forehead tapering to a small chin and mouth try smaller styles, slender rounded or square with lower set sides. Styles with decoration at the temples or ones which are wider at the top than the bottom will do more to draw attention to your face shape than balance it out. People with a round face and chin can get away with wider styles.Large frames or small round ones will only exaggerate the roundness of your face.

If your face is a basic oval shape with a slightly wider forehead, curved jaw and high cheekbones you’re lucky and can take your pick of any style as most will suit you.Wide frames with a strong upper line will suit faces that are long, with high cheekbones and a deep forehead. A larger, square frame will help balance a long oval face, although you should avoid small square shapes. If you have a relatively narrow forehead and eye line, broadening into the jaw line, then pick bold or adventurous designer styles to add balance, but steer clear of small narrow frames.

With designer sunglasses in particular, remember that, aside from making you look good, the primary role of these items is still to protect your eyes from the harmful effects of UV radiation. If at all possible try the glasses on before buying to be sure of the comfort and style.Lastly never forget that although a designer label is a fashion statement, at the end of the day it’s only your own opinion that matters, as long as you feel comfortable with your choice it’s the right one!

Choosing new glasses or sunglasses changes the way you look. Not only do glasses help you to see better, but they can be a fashion statement too.You want to know that your glasses look great on you as well as being comfortable and functional, and for this reason more and more people are choosing to go for designer frames.

There is a seemingly endless selection of different designer styles in all shapes and sizes, colours and materials. The seemingly endless options can be a little overwhelming. You should know what sort of image you want to present before choosing new designer glasses.

People with a square face look best in oval shaped or round glasses. If your face is wider at the top a smaller style of frame will look best, with low sides and either rounded or square. Don’t go for a style which widens at the top as they will only exaggerate your face shape, as will frames with decoration at the sidse or temples. Round Faces with a fairly short, wide forehead, full cheeks and a rounded chin will benefit from styles that are wider.Small rounded styles and any large frames should be avoided as they will only make your face look more round.

If your face is a basic oval shape with a slightly wider forehead, curved jaw and high cheekbones you’re lucky and can take your pick of any style as most will suit you.A long face with high cheekbones and a deep forehead will look good with wider glasses that have a stronger top line. A larger, square frame will help balance a long oval face, although you should avoid small square shapes. If you have a relatively narrow forehead and eye line, broadening into the jaw line, then pick bold or adventurous designer styles to add balance, but steer clear of small narrow frames.

Never forget that, despite the fact that they have a designer label which is a public statement of your desired public persona, ultimately the only one you have to please be yourself!

Glasses not only influence the way other people see us but on occasion they really can make the man (or woman!). John Lennon was instantly recognisable thanks to his round lens coloured Windsor style that are now much more commonly referred to as a Lennon. Apart from demonstrating the power of designer glasses in terms of style, that also illustrates the importance of the other component of contemporary celebrity the modern media. Lennon glasses could just as easily been called after Groucho Marx, Mahatma Gandhi, or Joseph Stalin, – they all wore the same style.

The movie Top Gun, starring Tom Cruise as Lt Pete Maverick Mitchell and Kelly McGillis as Charlotte Charlie Blackwood with adequate support from Val Kilmer as Lt Tom Iceman Kazansky, launched several careers and fuelled many an adolescent fantasy, arguably the real stars though were the aviator sunglasses that adorned the cast in most of the movie. In the immediate aftermath of the screening, sales of this particular style took off a quickly as the F14 Tomcat jet fighters, which at the time were the zenith of US naval aviation. Aviator style shapes are also the preferred designer sunglasses of Cristiano Ronaldo and were the accessory of choice for the late king of pop, Michael Jackson.

Designer glasses are of course mainly about image, but sometimes that image doesnt need to be tremendously cool. Just look at the two Ronnies in their famous geeky horn rim glasses which literally became the very trademark of their show. Easily as widely recognisable as the glasses of Cruise and Lennon, these specs had a very different agenda of deliberately making the wearers look as silly as possible. Snooker player Dennis Taylor’s famous designer glasses had a distinctive, swivel-lens, upside-down design. They may have looked slightly odd, but they helped Taylor win the 1985 world snooker title. One of the more bizarre pairs of glasses worn by a celebrity were the trademark horn rimmed specs of comedian Eric Sykes. In fact his glasses never had any lenses in them, and were really a bone-resonating hearing aid.

Glasses can make, and on occasion define, the man (or woman!). John Lennon’s trademark round lenses were so recognisable that the style came to be named after him as the ‘Lennon’. Not only do the ‘Lennons’ show how much power a pair of glasses really can have when placed upon the nose of an icon, but it also says a lot about the media. The ‘Lennon’ could as well have been called the ‘Groucho Marx’, the ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ or even the ‘Joseph Stalin’, all of whom wore the same style but it was Lennon’s name that stuck.

Obviously the main purpose of designer glasses for most people is image, but that image doesn’t always mean looking as cool as possible. Just look at the two Ronnies in their famous geeky horn rim glasses which literally became the very trademark of their show. Their glasses became easily as iconic and recognisable as those of Lennon or Cruise but in the case of the two Ronnies, the point was to make them look sillier and more geeky. Snooker player Dennis Taylor’s famous designer glasses had a distinctive, swivel-lens, upside-down design. Those glasses helped Taylor win the world snooker title, even if they did look a bit strange.
